Records show that baths and their design have greatly varied ever since mankind came to know of the benefits of personal hygiene and cleanliness. At times, baths have been freestanding, while during other periods, they were built in or constructed along with the building or area which housed them.
Throughout the Americas, they’re known as “faucets”. In the United Kingdom, South Africa and other English speaking countries, most people call them “taps”. Either way, mankind relies on and uses these functional devices umpteen times every single day, without giving their origin a second thought.
